Music at TNTCSchool
Through music, we are preparing students to think critically and creatively while building Godly character and compassion. In order to prepare our students to impact the world through their gifts, we present a curriculum which integrates faith and learning through the joy of music. We educate the students in music theory, performance, and musical history. We listen to and discuss the various styles of music throughout history.
The students learn about instruments, voice, and orchestra. They are encouraged to learn how to play an instrument (including voice) and have several opportunities to present what they have learned to the school body and community throughout the year.
We present a Christmas recital and an Elementary program each year. Instrumental and vocal coaching are provided. If private lessons are desired, we collaborate with other music professional in a joint effort. The students present a musical dramatic production twice a year. Elementary students present in the Fall and Jr/Sr high presents in the Spring. Students also travel to nursing homes and various outreaches to share their gift of music with the community.
We believe we are training up the worship leaders of tomorrow and equipping students with a love for learning through music. We have two worship teams. One elementary team that ministers during Friday morning chapel and another Jr/Sr worship team that ministers during Monday morning chapel. All students are offered opportunities to present their particular musical gifts. Both worship teams are under the direction of an experienced worship Music Teacher.
